1. Measure the length and the width of your quilt top
2. Multiply those numbers together
3. Now, multiply your answer by the price per square inch (.02).
4. The final number is your cost for the quilting
Example:
My quilt top measures 65”x 88”
65 x 88= 5720
5720 x .02 = $114.40 =Quilting Cost
I stock Quilters Dream batting. I only charge you for what you use, I don't round up to the yard or half yard. If you are wanting to bring your own batting, please make sure it is 5 inches larger than the quilt top on all sides.
80/20 Natural queen $13.50 a yard
80/20 White Queen $15.50 a yard
80/20 Natural King $18.00 a yard
Queen wool (90 wide) is $18.00 a yard
King wool (120 wide) is $23.00 a yard
I stock over 100 colors of thread for the top of your quilt and over 50 for the bobbin. I use two different brands of thread, "Glide" and "So Fine!". I charge by the bobbin, $3.50 per bobbin, this cost overs the top, bobbin, and needle cost all bundled together.
There is a $10 a seam charge for sewing the backing together. If you choose to sew your own backing, please leave a half inch seam allowance with the seams pressed open. The backing must be 4-5 inches larger than the quilt top. Larger than 5 inches is fine, just not smaller.
I am happy to bind your quilt for you. I offer two types of binding, machine binding and traditional hand binding. Machine binding is .25 a linear inch and traditional binding is .30 a linear inch. We can customize the binding options to fit your needs if you don't want me to finish the whole binding.
